James N Wine -
My interest in personal computers started when I was in Oakland Mills High School as I was one of twelve students in the first computer class offered (BASIC taught on an Apple IIe). At home I was learning to use brand-new computer known as the IBM PC running DOS 1
My study of computers continued in college where I received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland College Park.
While studying computers in school, I got my first taste of personal computer administration working for Instructional Television (ITV) on campus. Later I was offered a full-time job as a computer technician at the Naval Research Lab. This began a career of more than 18 years of network management and computer support. (details can be found in my resume)
In my spare time, I have found a strong interest in aviation. I am a private pilot, licensed parachute rigger, and lead skydiver for the Flying Circus Airshow in Bealeton, Virginia. (My Aviation Website and My Aviation Summary)
